Cremonese finally ended their streak of 15 league games without a win as they beat Parma 2-0 just before the international break. That result has lifted them out of the bottom three, but they are only above Lecce on goal difference. Interestingly, Cremonese have actually performed better in their away games, and they have only won two of their 14 Serie A matches at the Giovanni Zini Stadium this campaign.
Even though Cremonese won 3-1 in the reverse fixture this season, Bologna will be looking forward to this clash - they won 5-1 in Cremona last season. Bologna have also been strong on their travels this term, with seven wins from their 15 matches, ranking fifth in the Serie A for total points accumulated when playing away. They have won each of their last three league matches on the road, so will hope to increase that streak this weekend.
The international break came at a good time for Inter Milan, as they have dropped points in their last three league matches. After losing 1-0 in the Milan derby, Inter were then held to a draw by Atalanta and Fiorentina. However, the Nerazzurri are still top of the Serie A standings, and they will hope to recover their form and increase the six point gap on AC Milan in second.
No side in the Italian top flight has picked up more points than Inter Milan on home turf this season, as Cristian Chivu's men have won 11 of their 15 matches. While this upcoming clash promises to be a tough one, Inter have won eight of the last 10 head-to-head meetings against Roma across all competitions, which will further fill them with confidence. Roma have struggled on their travels this campaign, and have lost seven out of 15 league matches.
Santos were fortunate to escape relegation last season - a late uptick in form saw them escape the bottom four to remain in the Brazilian top flight. They have started the new campaign with one win from their opening eight matches, and it seems like it could be another uphill battle to remain in the division.
To make matters worse, Neymar has been struggling this campaign with injury, and he missed out against Cruzeiro last time out. The former Barcelona man has only started three league games this season, and Santos could struggle this weekend if he is unavailable again.
Flamengo come into this clash in a rich vein of form, unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions, and they are battling at the top of the pile. They have conceded just one goal from their three matches at home this campaign, with two wins and one draw.
