Chelsea have endured another difficult season, where they’ve once again failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The Blues head into the final day in eighth, but victory away at Sunderland will see them qualify for either the Europa League or Conference League.

Joe Cole shares Chelsea transfer concern

Following the appointment of Xabi Alonso as their new manager, the Blues now face a critical summer in the transfer market.

Alonso has been given the title of manager rather than head coach, and it’s thought he’ll have a say in transfers.

Chelsea have come under fire for their youth centred recruitment model, but co-owner Behdad Eghbali has said the model will be tweaked this summer.

Fans will only believe it when they see it, but Cole is concerned a top player will have to be sold in order to do that.

“The noise coming out of BlueCo is that they will tweak it round, but for me that means that you’re gonna have to sell one of Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, maybe Joao Pedro or Caicedo,” he told The Dressing Room Podcast.
