The transfer window is open and Nottingham Forest are targeting early business, with Vitor Pereira having said he wants only limited changes before the 11pm, September 1 deadline.
Manchester City remain interested in Elliot Anderson after two rejected bids, the latest reportedly worth more than £120m, made up of £106m up front and £15m in add-ons. City are thought to want a deal before Anderson joins England’s World Cup campaign on Wednesday, June 17, while suggestions are that Forest seek a £130m package amid the possibility of a value rise.
According to Sky Sports Italy, Forest are “preparing” an offer of €25m (£21m) plus bonuses for Davide Frattesi, below Inter Milan’s €30m (£26m) valuation. Roma and Napoli have also been credited with interest.
Forest tried for Celtic’s Arne Engels in January, with three bids turned down, including a package up to £25m. The 22-year-old continues to be linked, though competition is expected from Fulham, Sunderland, West Ham United and Napoli.
Roma Daily claims Forest have made a verbal €15m (£13m) offer for defender Jan Ziolkowski, with Roma said to want €20m (£17m). Brighton and Hove Albion, Bournemouth and West Ham United are also reportedly keen on the Poland international.
Football Italia reports Inter are eyeing Reds winger Dan Ndoye as a potential alternative to Marco Palestra, who they want from Atalanta. In preparation for Palestra’s expected exit, Atalanta are said to view Forest full-back Nicolo Savona as the ideal replacement, and any Ndoye move could become entwined with Frattesi’s situation, with a sale potentially funding a bid.
