Nottingham Forest have parted ways with Ange Postecoglou after their 3-0 loss to Chelsea at the City Ground.

The Australian’s exit comes just 39 days after he took the helm on 9 September, making his spell at Forest the shortest permanent managerial stint in Premier League history.

Postecoglou couldn’t secure a single win in his eight games in charge, recording two draws and six defeats across all competitions.

In the Premier League, Forest managed only one point from five matches under him, leaving them just a point clear of the relegation zone in 17th place.

With Postecoglou gone, Forest are now on the hunt for their third manager of the season, following the early departure of Nuno Espirito Santo after just three games.

Names have already been floated as potential replacements, including Sean Dyche.
