Former Al-Hilal president Prince Abdulrahman bin Musaad has defended club captain Salem Al-Dosari, rejecting allegations he avoided national-team duty during March’s international window.
The prince said in a post on X that Al-Dosari was blameless, pointing to the club’s official list of absentees.
Al-Dosari missed friendlies against Egypt and Serbia after a knee injury ruled him out of the national-team camp, a development that prompted criticism.
The absentees list related to Al-Hilal’s home game against Al-Taawoun on Saturday at Kingdom Arena in the Roshen League’s 27th round, and it confirms he remains sidelined for a high-stakes fixture.
His lay-off may also extend to Wednesday’s meeting with Al-Khulood, a match brought forward from the 29th round. Al-Dosari has played 27 times for Al-Hilal this season, scoring 8 and assisting 10.
