Robert Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona is once again under the spotlight, with recent comments from Douglas Costa adding to the growing speculation.

The former Juventus and Bayern Munich winger believes the Polish striker would be an ideal fit in Turin once his current deal comes to an end.

Speaking in an interview with Tuttosport, as reported by SPORT, Costa made a strong case for why Juventus should pursue Lewandowski and why the player should seriously consider the move.

Explaining Lewandowski’s qualities and what he could bring, he noted,

“Robert scores goals in every possible way.

“He would be a huge asset to Juventus, and I would advise him to wear the black-and-white shirt for the rest of his career.

“He scores goals everywhere and will continue to do so for many years to come. He would be perfect for Juventus,” he began.

Costa also addressed Juventus’ current attacking situation, particularly the presence of Dusan Vlahovic.

While acknowledging the Serbian’s potential, he made it clear that adding Lewandowski would elevate the team further.

“Juve have Dusan Vlahovic. He still has room for improvement. He’s the right age: his return to a certain level will be crucial in the fight for fourth place.

“He has everything it takes to take Juve to the Champions League, but signing Lewandowski would be important.”

Situation at Barcelona

At Barcelona, the situation is not fully resolved, as Lewandowski’s contract is approaching its final stage, and the club have already proposed a one-year extension.

However, the offer includes a significant 50% reduction in salary, which complicates matters.

As things stand, the striker has yet to make a final decision despite the fact that he has multiple offers from clubs across Europe as well as the United States.
