Hutchison pointing to Alexander Isak refusing to train or play in pre-season friendlies for the position the forward now finds himself in.

Liverpool fans and Sweden fans united in their view of how poor the striker has been, in no fit shape, physically or mentally, in order to be of any use.

Sweden with one point from their first three group games, meaning it is all but mathematically impossible now for them to finish top of their group and automatically qualify for the World Cup finals. Whilst Liverpool have lost their last three matches.

Former Liverpool star Don Hutchison talking about Alexander Isak, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“Alexander Isak should have been more professional over the summer and he is paying for it now.

“He should have seen the bigger picture…

“Walking away from the training camp was poor in the first place.

“He was either going to go to Liverpool or stay at Newcastle, so either way he needed to be match fit.

“He shouldn’t have been selfish.

“If the move didn’t happen, he’d then be match fit for Newcastle United.

“It was unprofessional and naive not just to down tools but to also sacrifice his match fitness for whoever he was going to play for.

“I think he has been managed and advised really badly by his agent all summer.

“It comes down to the player, ultimately.

“He’s under contract with Newcastle, he owes them fitness and professionalism.
