Former Lyon and PSG midfielder Vikash Dhorasoo has been appointed assistant coach at Paris 13 Atlético, the third-tier club announced on Wednesday. He joins the staff led by Maxence Flachez ahead of the 2025-26 Championnat National season.
The 51-year-old, who has worked as a media pundit for several years, is now taking a more hands-on role in coaching. Dhorasoo had recently been working with the U16 and U17 teams at Blanc-Mesnil and is currently in the process of obtaining his Diplôme d’État Supérieur (DES), one of French football’s highest coaching qualifications.
Speaking to Le Parisien, Dhorasoo explained that he reached out to the club himself: “I live in the 10th arrondissement, I played for PSG, and Paris 13 Atlético intrigued me… it genuinely interested me. I’m a young coach and I’ll be able to keep learning alongside Maxence Flachez, someone I once played against.”
He added: “I come from a working-class neighbourhood in Le Havre, so when I see the Stade Boutroux, I feel at home — even if I’ve also known Milanello.”
Paris 13 Atlético, based in the south-east of the capital, are aiming to re-establish themselves in the National after a challenging season.GFFN | George Boxall
