On transfer deadline day, Billal Brahimi (25) saw his OGC Nice contract terminated by mutual consent. He has quickly found a new club. The Algerian winger is already in Brazil ahead of the completion of a move to Santos, L’Équipe understands.
Brahimi joined Nice back in 2022, however, he has failed to establish himself under several different managers. The winger has been forced out on loan on two occasions, firstly to Stade Brestois and then later to Saint-Trond.
The Algerian has made one appearance for Nice this season, coming on for the final stages of the club’s 1-0 defeat to Toulouse FC on the first weekend of Ligue 1 football. However, on deadline day, and in the final week of the transfer window, Nice added to their front line, leading to Brahimi’s departure.
The winger arrived in Sao Paulo on Tuesday and will undergo his Santos medical on Wednesday, ahead of the completion of the free transfer.
