Former Palmeiras goalkeeper Deola turns to LinkedIn for coaching role

Former Palmeiras goalkeeper Deola, who retired in 2023, has turned to LinkedIn to look for work as a head coach or assistant. According to Globo.com, he is promoting his availability on the platform.

He enjoyed his longest spell at Palmeiras, making 103 appearances and forming part of the side that won the Copa do Brasil in 2012.

Earlier in his career he featured in the Palmeiras group that reached the 2003 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior final, playing alongside Vagner Love.

In recent years he worked at Sfera, a club company in Santana de Parnaíba focused on player development, spending more than two years as under-19 goalkeeping coach.

After leaving Palmeiras he represented a string of Brazilian teams, including Guarani, Vitória, Fortaleza and Juventus-SP, plus América-RJ, ASA-AL, Villa Nova-MG, Real Brasília, Sertãozinho, Anapolina, Santos-PA and Independente Tucuruí-PA.

In his post he asked for support to re-enter the market, inviting messages or comments from contacts and saying he wanted to reconnect.
