Former Zamalek star Khaled El Ghandour's launched strong attack on sections of the club’s supporters after incidents during the 2 - 0 win over Ceramica Cleopatra in the EPL opener.

The match played at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium, saw Zamalek fans verbally abuse former club winger and current Al Ahly player Ahmed Sayed Zizo directing insults at both him & his wife.

On Facebook , El Ghandour wrote:

"It's absolutely unacceptable to insult player, his family or his respected wife even if you believe he betrayed you and joined your rival"

He drew parallel to the abuse suffered in the past by Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala stressing that such behavior should be condemned in all cases:

"Just as we refused racism and insults against Shikabala and his family, we shouldn't accept it for zizo. Focus on your team only"

El Ghandour urged supporters of all clubs to maintain sportsmanship:

"If you care about morals and manners, you must apply them to all fans and all players. This's the start of the season, there're many matches to come. Remember .. morals are indivisible"
