Fortaleza request João Ricardo medical reports from Corinthians after failed checks | OneFootball

Fortaleza have asked Corinthians for all medical reports on goalkeeper João Ricardo after he failed medical checks in São Paulo and returned to the Ceará capital. They have yet to receive a response.

According to Diário do Nordeste, Corinthians had supplied only one document, prepared by an external medical agent, and had reached an agreement with the keeper before pulling out after the examinations.

Fortaleza dispute that verdict, saying the goalkeeper is fit, and he is training at Pici.

João Ricardo remains under contract at Fortaleza until 2027, having been lined up for a loan to the São Paulo side until the end of this season.

The planned move was to follow his recovery from shoulder tendon surgery at the end of last year, which is why he has not featured this season. Due to his high salary, Fortaleza do not intend to use him in 2026.
