Foundation holds Girls' Academy induction evening | OneFootball

The Leeds United Foundation welcomed four age groups to Elland Road recently for their Girls' Academy induction evening.

The Under-11s, Under-12s, Under-14s and Under-16s teams all gathered for their official introduction into the Women and Girls' pathway within the Foundation in the 1919 Suite at Elland Road as they completed their formal welcome. A presentation was delivered outlining the Academy's aspirations and expectations for the upcoming season, highlighting individual player development as a the primary focus.

Players and parents were then given an overview of the weekly programme, including how technical football sessions will be delivered alongside access to strength and conditioning sessions, nutritional workshops and psychological support sessions.

The evening provided an excellent opportunity to introduce the Foundation's holistic approach to player development and reinforce the standards and values that will underpin the programme throughout the season.

The Leeds United Foundation runs several programmes year-round to support Women and Girls' football, including Girls only football sessions and camps, the Girls' Technical Centre which acts as a gateway into the pathway, the Performance Centre of Excellence for high-potential players, the Academy itself with the Post-16 Female Education Programme, and the Emerging Talent Centre.
