Four players leave Nottingham Forest today as the club trims its squad for the summer.

According to Nottingham Post, the retained list confirmed their exits, with the contracts of Willy Boly, Stefan Ortega and Angus Gunn expiring on 30 June. Lorenzo Lucca's loan also ends today after Forest declined a £35 million option to buy.

It has been a quiet start to the window. Head coach Vitor Pereira said last month only limited changes were needed, though some movement is still expected as Forest aim for an immediate return to European football.

Boly departs after four years, having made only two appearances in 2025/26. He was left out of the Premier League and Europa League squads for the second half of the campaign following injury.

Gunn played once after arriving as a free agent 12 months ago. He recently represented Scotland at the World Cup before their elimination in the group stage.

Ortega joined mid-season after leaving Manchester City, became Pereira's Europa League first-choice, and made 10 appearances.

Napoli loanee Lucca made nine outings after a January arrival, scoring against Leeds United on debut before fading thereafter. He has been linked with a loan move to Lazio.

When confirming the quartet would depart at contract end, Forest thanked them for their contributions and wished them well for the future.
