The Portuguese Football Federation's Disciplinary Council has requested clarifications over Daniel Banjaqui's actions late in Benfica B's 2-1 win at Vizela.

A Bola reports that the incident came in stoppage time as the 18-year-old, who recently renewed his contract, prepared to take a throw-in.

He was slow to restart, prompting Vizela winger Damien Loppy to hand him the ball twice. On the second occasion the gesture was firmer, yet the Benfica full-back did not take it, angering Vizela supporters.

Despite tempers flaring, the incident was not recorded in the reports from the referee, the league delegate or the police, the report said.

Banjaqui, shirt number 58 and a Portugal under-21 international, has played 28 matches this season for Benfica.

Those appearances break down as 15 in Liga Portugal Meu Super, seven in the UEFA Youth League, three in Liga Revelação, two in Liga Portugal Betclic and one in the Taça de Portugal.

Across 1,927 minutes he has one goal and five assists, and is valued at five million euros.
