The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation, in its non-professional section, has opened proceedings against agent Daniela Lopes over an alleged assault on Benfica women’s football director Mónica Jorge during the match at Braga.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 25 April, at Estádio Amélia Morais, with witness accounts and surveillance footage indicating it happened in the presidential box. Record writes that it sought comment from Lopes, who declined to respond.
An inquiry has been launched to establish the facts, and the council will gather evidence and testimony from both sides before reaching a final decision.
Lopes represents Benfica players Carole Costa and Beatriz Cameirão, as well as former Benfica player Andreia Faria.
Benfica have already been crowned six-time national champions, celebrating at Estádio da Luz after their derby win over Sporting. They face Rio Ave on the final day, then Porto in the Taça de Portugal final.
