Brentford have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.

Best of the Bees

A stoppage-time equaliser denied Brentford a big victory over Everton in the chase for European qualification.

Kevin Schade (£7.0m) won a penalty in the second minute of the game, which Igor Thiago (£7.3m) tucked away. The forward rewarded the 34.1 per cent of FPL owners who sold him, despite many managers selling players who only play next week to set their teams up for Double Gameweek 34.

Beto (£5.0m) equalised for the visitors, before several big chances for the Bees. Mathias Jensen (£4.9m) cut inside from the left and forced Jordan Pickford (£5.6m) into a good save, before Schade headed a corner off the crossbar. The Toffees defenders also thwarted rebounds from Thiago and Dango Ouattara (£6.0m).

Early in the second half, Nathan Collins (£4.9m) hit the woodwork before Thiago’s second goal of the game when he deflected a Michael Kayode (£4.6m) shot into the back of the net. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£5.1m) scored Everton’s equaliser.

FPL owners of Collins, Sepp van den Berg (£4.6m) and Yehor Yarmoliuk (£5.0m) were rewarded with two extra points for reaching the defensive contributions (DefCon) threshold.

The Spotlight

Thiago’s brace against Everton at the weekend means that he has now scored five goals against them this season. Impressively, he is now the first Brazilian to reach 20 and 21 goals in a Premier League season.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (£14.4m) is the only player to have more attempts on target and penalty area shots than Thiago and, now just one goal behind, the 24-year-old still has six matches to overtake him as Golden Boot winner.

Many managers will be facing a difficult dilemma this weekend. Man City, Chelsea, Brighton, Bournemouth, Leeds and Burnley all feature twice in Double Gameweek 33. This means that for many FPL managers using the Wildcard or Free Hit chips, the focus will be on selecting players who feature twice.

However, it will be tough to ignore the free-scoring Brazilian forward who takes penalties and has another home fixture in Gameweek 34.

Best of the Rest

Elsewhere, two of the highest individual Gameweek 32 scores took place in Friday night’s opener, where West Ham United defender Konstantinos Mavropanos (£4.4m) accumulated a whopping 21 points because of his clean sheet and two goals. Both were created by Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m), who set up another. His hat-trick of assists gave him a 14-point return; he now has seven assists in the last eight matches.

Another brace belonged to Brighton and Hove Albion’s Mats Wieffer (£4.9m), who also achieved two additional defensive contribution points, which took him to 18 points for the week.

Big tallies also came for Noah Okafor (£5.5m), plus goal-scoring defenders Marc Guéhi (£5.1m), Nordi Mukiele (£4.5m) and Nico O’Reilly (£5.0m).

In Demand

Were it not for O’Reilly leaving Stamford Bridge with a hamstring issue, he’d surely have gone on to become the most-bought player heading into Double Gameweek 33. Many FPL managers will now be waiting for Pep Guardiola’s press conference at the end of the week before investing. However, O’Reilly’s team-mates Haaland and Rayan Cherki (£6.3m) are currently the most transferred-in players ahead of their double.

Bournemouth pair Marcos Senesi (£5.2m) and Alex Scott (£5.0m) are also attracting new managers before the Cherries play twice against Fulham and Leeds.

Meanwhile, Hugo Ekitike (£9.2m) was the most-sold ahead of Gameweek 32 and currently is again, after picking up a serious-looking injury against PSG in the Champions League.

Flagged defenders Jurrien Timber (£6.2m) and Trevor Chalobah (£5.4m) are also proving popular sells as many managers prepare to Bench Boost in DGW34.

Captaincy

This is another area where settling on Double Gameweek players makes sense. Erling Haaland will likely be the default captain, despite not scoring in the league since mid-February. He’s at home to Arsenal, then away at Burnley. Some may prefer the more differential armband choice of team-mate Antoine Semenyo (£8.2m).

Whereas Chelsea attackers Cole Palmer (£10.5m) and João Pedro (£7.7m) go against Manchester United and Brighton.
