France 3-0 Sweden ratings: Olise shines as Mbappé clinical | OneFootball

France eased past Sweden 3-0 in the World Cup round of 32, with Olise pulling the strings and Mbappé scoring twice. Barcola added the other as Didier Deschamps’ side controlled proceedings.

The first half brought steady French pressure. Mbappé thudded the post on 32 minutes from a Koundé cross, then Olise’s acrobatic volley clipped the woodwork on 36. According to L'Équipe, Olise dictated the tempo with poise throughout.

Zetterström kept Sweden afloat with saves from Digne, Rabiot and Mbappé. France broke through on 45 minutes, Mbappé finishing after Dembélé’s precise pass from the right, following a corner won by an Olise strike. Koundé produced a key recovery in added time.

France doubled their lead on 53 minutes, Barcola squeezing in a disguised right foot finish from an Olise pass after Tchouaméni had sparked the move. Zetterström denied Olise again on 61 and 72 minutes. Mbappé then made it 3-0 on 74 minutes, again teed up by Olise, taking his World Cup haul to 18, and six in 2026.

Maignan had little to do, turning away a late effort from Gyökeres on 89 minutes. Deschamps withdrew Koundé and Dembélé on 75 minutes, then Digne on 78, before Olise and Mbappé made way on 85.
