France arrived in Boston on Tuesday and checked into the Four Seasons, their designated World Cup base, ahead of Thursday’s friendly against Brazil.
According to L'Équipe, the squad landed a little after 16:30 local time, 21:30 in Paris, following a long flight with La Compagnie, the FFF’s new partner. The 76-seat business-class aircraft will continue to carry Les Bleus next summer.
Aurélien Tchouaméni said sleep was scarce on the journey, though he was pleased to be in the United States. He added he had not yet thought about the hotel, joked he was hungry, and that visiting their future base would help them settle.
Hugo Ekitike looked to the football, calling Brazil a dream fixture and saying the players are eager to get started. Most of the squad paused to sign autographs and pose for selfies with fans outside.
New call-up Maxence Lacroix, who replaced William Saliba on Sunday night, was upbeat and noted he came through Sochaux’s academy alongside Ibrahima Konaté.
The team have taken two reserved floors at the hotel and completed an indoor stretching session. They will train only once before France-Brazil, at 16:30 local on Wednesday, 21:30 in Paris, at New England Revolution’s training site in Foxborough. Kick-off is 21:00 in Paris.
