French fans in the United States gathered at Casa Bleue, the French Football Federation’s official hub, ahead of France v Senegal at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, near New York City. Kick-off is on Tuesday at 21:00 in France, 15:00 local time.

According to L'Équipe, the meeting point sits inside a shopping centre close to the ground and was set up for supporters on site.

Fans with tickets for Les Bleus’ first World Cup match were offered free food paid for by the federation. Only drinks had to be bought.

Several hundred supporters attended in a lively, family atmosphere.

They will head to the stadium together at 13:15 local time, 19:15 in France.
