According to a report from L’Équipe, Franck Haise has agreed to leave his role as head coach of OGC Nice by mutual agreement with the club.
A year and a half after joining the southern club from his former team, RC Lens, Haise will end his tenure. Haise helped Nice to a fourth-place finish last season, but has been unable to keep the high standards in the current campaign.
Nice have struggled domestically and in Europe this year. They entered the winter break in 13th in the league and bottom of the UEFA Europa League league table, having lost every single fixture.
Haise was able to end a nine-game losing streak in what will be his final game in charge of Les Aiglons. Nice defeated AS Saint-Étienne 2-1 in the Coupe de France. L’Équipe writes that Claude Puel has supporters within the club who would like to see him succeed Haise.
