New Coventry City boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he was 'babysitting' Chelsea during his last stint in charge of the club.
The former Chelsea icon took interim charge of the club following the sacking of Graham Potter in the spring of 2022, but could not turn results around, managing just a single win in 11 games and losing eight.
Now, speaking as the new boss of the Sky Blues, Lampard admitted that the role was "a bit of babysitting for me, if I'm honest".
"It wasn't a coaching job", he added, "It was a holding the baby job while the ownership transition happened".
Will he prove more successful in charge of Coventry this time around?
