According to SPORT, Dusan Vlahovic appears to be moving further away from a potential switch to FC Barcelona as the Serbian striker begins to explore alternative destinations rather than risk remaining without a club.

After ending his spell with Juventus, Vlahovic spent the opening weeks of the transfer window assessing offers while keeping an eye on Barcelona’s plans.

Although he understood that he was never the club’s primary target, he was willing to wait in case circumstances changed.

Barcelona still focused elsewhere

Vlahovic has long been aware that Barcelona’s main objective is Julian Alvarez.

A move for the Serbian was only considered a realistic possibility if other pieces of the club’s attacking puzzle fell into place, particularly if Ferran Torres departed.

With that scenario yet to materialize, the striker has decided to revive negotiations with clubs that had been waiting for his decision.

Besiktas back in the picture

One of the most serious options is Besiktas. The Turkish club previously offered Vlahovic a three-year contract worth around €8 million net per season.

Those talks had been put on hold while the striker waited to see whether Barcelona would make a move.

As previously reported, Besiktas have issued an ultimatum and wants a definitive answer from the Serbian international. The coming days could prove decisive, although the Serbian forward is still weighing his options carefully.

Juventus door not completely closed

A return to Juventus has not been ruled out either. Despite leaving the club, Vlahovic has maintained a strong attachment to the Bianconeri, and another round of talks could take place.

Juventus had previously proposed a new two-year deal worth €6 million per season, an offer the striker initially rejected.

With the transfer market evolving, both parties may now be willing to compromise in an attempt to reach an agreement.

Barcelona waiting before making a move

Barcelona have never fully committed to signing Vlahovic, although the club did hold discussions with his representatives to understand the financial requirements of a potential deal.

His salary demands were considered too high, even if there was confidence that negotiations could have reduced those figures.

For now, however, the Catalan club have no intention of making a move until two key situations are resolved: whether Alvarez becomes available and whether Ferran remains at the club or leaves this summer.

Only once those questions are answered will Barcelona decide whether it needs to enter the market for one or even two new strikers.
