Freiburg reach agreement to sign Japan international Yuito Suzuki | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that Freiburg have reached an agreement to sign Brondby attacker Yuito Suzuki. The 23-year-old has already completed his medical and is expected to finalise a move to the Bundesliga side for a reported €8m in the coming days.

With Ritsu Doan attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt, it’s increasingly likely that he will leave Baden-Württemberg in the summer transfer window, which is prompting Freiburg to strengthen their attack.

In addition to Suzuki, Freiburg have reached an agreement with Hertha Berlin forward Derry Scherhant over a summer move, while they have already completed a move for ESTAC Troyes winger Cyriaque Irié for a reported €8.5m.

While Suzuki – who has scored 12 and created six in 38 games across all competitions for Brondby this season – can play anywhere behind the striker, the Japan international’s preferred position is on the right, where Doan currently operates.
