Freiburg sign Keisuke Goto from Anderlecht | OneFootball

SC Freiburg have signed Keisuke Goto from Belgian side Anderlecht, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Thursday. The 21-year-old is in Japan's World Cup squad.

Board member Jochen Saier said Freiburg were delighted to bring in an exciting forward with a fearless style and promising attributes.

He highlighted Goto's runs in behind, feel for space and penalty-area instincts, and stressed he will need time to settle and continue developing, which the club will provide.

Goto said Freiburg showed strong interest a few months ago and that he felt genuinely wanted, which was a key reason for choosing the move.

He added that he watched some of the team's Europa League matches, considers Freiburg a big club and is looking forward to the season.

The forward spent 2025/26 on loan at Sint-Truiden, scoring 13 goals and supplying eight assists in 40 appearances.
