On the occasion of the final international break before the 2026 World Cup, numerous Monaco players will join their national teams—including both members of the first-team squad and young players from the Academy.

In a highly favorable context for AS Monaco—which has notably just won its sixth match in a row in Ligue 1 against OL (1-2), More than twenty players from the Club—including Academy graduates—are set to fly out to join their national teams. While most will be playing friendly matches, others will be competing in fixtures such as the Euro U21 qualifiers; here is the schedule for our internationals. 📆

High-Profile warmup Matches 🔝

A number of heavyweight clashes are set to take place during this international break, giving several Monaco players the opportunity to feature in marquee fixtures. This is the case, for instance, for Maghnes Akliouche—representing the French national team—who will go head-to-head with Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil; for Denis Zakaria, who will challenge Germany with Switzerland in a highly anticipated clash between neighbors; and for Folarin Balogun, who will take on Portugal and Belgium with the United States.

Euro U21 Qualifying continues 🇪🇺

As for Mamadou Coulibaly—called up to the France U21 squad for the first time alongside Christian Mawissa (who already has 5 caps)—he is set to play in two high-stakes matches that count toward the U21 Euro qualifiers. This represents a golden opportunity for our Academy-trained midfielder to earn his first minutes in the Espoirs jersey, facing Luxembourg and Iceland—he who, until now, had only represented the U20 national team.
