Once regarded as the potential long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets, Marc Casado has had a relatively quick and unfortunate fall from grace.

Although still a viable option, who is more than capable of starting matches for Barcelona, the Spaniard has fallen behind in the pecking order right now.

His future at Camp Nou remains uncertain, with many expecting him to leave Barcelona at the end of the season.

Casado ready to listen to offers

According to Catalunya Radio, Casado has decided he will listen to offers in the upcoming summer transfer window.

This essentially means the midfielder is prepared to leave Barcelona, having struggled to gain enough game time under Hansi Flick this season.

With Gavi fast-becoming a key player once again and Marc Bernal earning plaudits with his top form, Casado’s role could dwindle further in the coming season.

The player, therefore, will entertain offers to leave Barça this summer, which in turn could be a massive boost for the club.

Casado is valued at around €30 million and his potential exit could go a long way in adding some much-needed revenue to Barcelona’s coffers.

Some reports suggest he could be used in the deal to sign Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis. But these are still early days, and it remains doubtful whether the player would like to move to Saudi Arabia so early on in his career.

Given the talent he has shown so far, Casado will not have any shortage of suitors, especially from Spain, if the midfielder would like to continue his progression in the Spanish top flight.

The coming months, therefore, will be critical as Casado looks to call an end to his spell at Barcelona and find a new adventure elsewhere.
