Wesley has won Roma a place thanks to his goals and excellent performances.
The Brazilian has attracted the attention of top European clubs, who are ready to knock on Trigoria’s door to try and acquire the 2003-born player.
However, the number 43 will first have to focus on the end of the season with the Giallorossi and the World Cup with his native Brazil.
According to Caughtoffside, an English portal, Manchester City, Barcelona, and Real Madrid have shown strong interest in the Roman side’s full-back, while Newcastle, Arsenal, and Tottenham are also considering the move.
For Pep Guardiola’s side, it would be a resurgence of interest: the Citizens had already been eyeing the player during his time at Flamengo, but failed to make a move.
For their part, Roma have no intention of letting Wesley go.
The Brazilian was acquired just a year ago from Flamengo for €25 million plus bonuses, and is crucial for Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Grugliasco-born coach focuses heavily on the flanks, and the club wants to find a player of the No. 43’s caliber to strengthen the opposite flank.
The Roma club’s valuation is around €40 million, but the asking price could be significantly higher, especially if the winger excels at the World Cup. Any interested parties should be warned.
