Fulham FC are reportedly interested in Toulouse FC’s Charlie Cresswell (23), according to information from The Times.
Regarded as one of the club’s most valuable players, the English defender could therefore be the subject of a transfer worth around €30m. The sum is slightly higher than what Stade Rennais – with whom Cresswell had an agreement – were prepared to pay to secure his services.
However, for Fulham to complete this deal, they will first need to secure a sale, whilst the departure of Joachim Andersen (30) appears to be on track. Should this matter drag on, Crystal Palace – who have also been linked with Cresswell – could also enter the fray, although the London club are already in advanced negotiations with other targets.
In any case, the departure of the Leeds United academy graduate from Fulham now seems inevitable, having already been on the verge of leaving during the last two transfer windows.
