Fulham are in negotiations to sign PSV and United States forward Ricardo Pepi after submitting a second bid worth $38 million, €32m, £28m. According to NY Times, talks are ongoing and a gap in valuation remains, though the London club are closer to PSV’s price.
Pepi sustained a broken forearm on 10 January and is expected to be sidelined until mid-March. The injury has not deterred Fulham’s interest.
The striker turned 23 this month and has 22 appearances for PSV this season, with 11 goals and two assists. He scored 18 goals in 1,132 minutes last term. For the USMNT, he has 13 goals in 34 caps.
Before joining PSV, Pepi impressed at FC Groningen on loan from Bundesliga side FC Augsburg. He moved to Augsburg in 2022 from FC Dallas after a breakout 2021 with his boyhood club.
Fulham are seventh in the Premier League on 34 points after 23 matches.
