Gabi Zanotti called up as Brazil set 2026 friendlies with Costa Rica, Venezuela and Mexico | OneFootball

Coach Arthur Elias has named Brazil’s first women’s squad of 2026 for friendlies with Costa Rica, Venezuela and Mexico, with Corinthians’ Gabi Zanotti included after her recent Rainha da América win for a second time.

Brazil face Costa Rica on 27 February in Alajuela, then Venezuela on 4 March in Toluca, before meeting Mexico on 7 March in Mexico City.

“I am extremely happy with another call-up. I was in the last one, in 2025, and to start 2026 already being part of this list is a great source of pride. I think it just shows that this really is the way forward.” She told ge.globo.

Zanotti also highlighted Corinthians’ 2025, when the club won the Libertadores and the Brasileiro, and finished runners-up at the Club World Cup in London two weeks ago. The 40-year-old is aiming to stay in the squad with the Women’s World Cup in Brazil in 2027 approaching.

“I am happy with my 2025 season at Corinthians and with my start to 2026, the Club World Cup in London, and that is it. I hope I can go there and have a great period with the squad. There are three games against Costa Rica, Mexico and Venezuela. I will fight to do a great job so that my name keeps being remembered in the next lists.”

The three friendlies form part of the CBF’s build-up and will be the last before the Fifa Series in April, which will also include Canada, Zambia and South Korea.
