Gabigol has not travelled to Campinas and will miss Santos’ visit to Guarani on Sunday in the Campeonato Paulista.

De Olho no Peixe reports that the forward, who began the clássico against Palmeiras on the bench because of a muscle complaint, is being rested and did not join the squad for the trip.

The coaching staff aim to have him fully fit for the clássico with Corinthians on Thursday 22 at Vila Belmiro.

Without him, it is likely Juan Pablo Vojvoda keeps the setup that started against Palmeiras, with Barreal on the right, Thaciano as a false nine and Lautaro Diaz operating from the left.

The match in Campinas is the third round of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista.
