Gabriel Gudmundsson says he is content at Leeds United and has paid little attention to reported interest from Chelsea.

"I haven’t had a focus on it because there has been so much with Leeds, the World Cup and then I have become a father now so I have really zoned out from that part of football," he said. "But it’s nice that they see me as an alternative and it’s a sign that something good has been done, then we’ll see what happens but I’m happy where I am." Sport Witness reported.

The left-back completed his first season at Elland Road after a £10 million move last July, then went to the World Cup with Sweden. He played all four matches as they reached the last 32, losing 3-0 to France.

It capped a relentless year in which he featured 48 times for club and country and also became a first-time father. Leeds might anticipate interest in key players after last season, but Gudmundsson’s focus remains on his current club.

"Everything is so professional," he added. "We have enjoyed ourselves since the first second we got there so we are very happy with the choice and are looking forward to what is to come."

"Hand on heart I can say that the Leeds fans are the best in England and they have supported us in a really good way this season. I don’t think you understand how big the club is until you are in it."
