Gabriel Paulista will miss Corinthians’ 16th-round Campeonato Brasileiro match away to Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.

The centre-back collected his third yellow card during Corinthians’ 3-2 win over São Paulo at the Neo Química Arena, which brings an automatic suspension, according to Globo.com.

The booking came at 41 minutes of the first half, shortly after São Paulo had equalised.

A confrontation followed after Corinthians supporters threw objects onto the pitch, and Calleri stayed down having been struck by an electronic cigarette.

Matheus Bidu, Sabino and Calleri were also shown yellow cards for their part in the incident.
