Galatasaray ‘to activate’ Sacha Boey option, Bayern set for €15 million loss | OneFootball

Bild claims that Galatasaray intend to activate the pre-agreed option to buy French right-back Sacha Boey from Bayern Munich, with a permanent deal possible for next season.

The fee is around €15 million, which would leave Bayern facing roughly a €15 million loss on the 25-year-old, signed for €30 million in January 2024.

Boey, currently on loan at the İstanbul club, was recruited under Thomas Tuchel to strengthen right-back but injuries hampered any momentum in Munich.

He did not nail down a place under Tuchel or successor Vincent Kompany, making only 38 appearances in all competitions, with one goal and five assists.

In Türkiye he has been a regular for the Süper Lig record champions, recording 13 outings across competitions, and the loan has suited all parties.

Bayern had listed him for sale last summer to reinvest his reported €3 million annual salary elsewhere, but he rejected offers, reportedly frustrating club officials.

His Bayern contract runs until June 2028.
