Fanatik reports that Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli is Galatasaray’s back-up target this window if a move for Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli falls through.
Mundo Deportivo claims Galatasaray have lodged a bid worth 45 million euros for Martinelli, which Arsenal have rejected so far, and the Istanbul club are therefore assessing Ezzalzouli as an alternative.
Any deal for the Morocco international could be complicated by Barcelona retaining around 20% of his future sale, and Betis are not inclined to sell cheaply. The Andalusian club have yet to receive an official offer from Galatasaray, and would only consider a sale close to his release clause, estimated at around 60 million euros.
Ezzalzouli is in the final phase of rehabilitation after the injury sustained with Morocco that cost him a World Cup place. He did not travel to Bari for Saturday’s friendly against Inter, Betis’ final warm-up before the new season.
Separately, Real Betis confirmed the transfer of right-back Pablo Busto to Ibiza on a two-year contract. The move involved no fee, with Betis retaining 35% of the player’s future rights. Busto had been under contract at Betis until June 2027.
