Galatasaray ‘to move for’ Frankfurt star Can Uzun this summer | OneFootball

Türkiye Gazetesi reports that Galatasaray are courting Eintracht Frankfurt’s 20-year-old Can Uzun over a possible summer transfer back to Türkiye.

Uzun is listed as one of two options for the central midfield role, intended to boost the Istanbul club’s creativity.

He has made 28 competitive appearances for Frankfurt this season, producing 16 goal returns in total.

Even so, he is viewed as a potential departure from the Hessen side, who hope to receive between €50-60 million from any sale.

President Dursun Özbek and coach Okan Buruk will discuss a potential deal for Uzun at an upcoming planning meeting. His Turkish citizenship would also suit the club, as he would not affect their foreign player regulations.

A second name will also be considered at the meeting, with significant progress already made. Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva has been identified as the alternative for the playmaker position if Uzun is off limits.
