Galatasaray have switched their summer focus to Strasbourg playmaker Julio Enciso as the marquee number 10 after completing the acquisition of Burnley’s Lesley Ugochukwu. Manager Okan Buruk has backed the pursuit and has confirmed active interest.
According to Turkish-Football.com, the club have tabled a structured €25 million bid to test Strasbourg’s resolve. It consists of €20 million guaranteed and €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Strasbourg’s valuation is understood to be closer to €35 million, yet Galatasaray are confident of progress during scheduled face to face talks in France. If moves for Can Uzun or Bruno Fernandes prove too costly, they are ready to prioritise Enciso fully.
Enciso is viewed as the long-term successor to Dries Mertens. Primarily an attacking midfielder behind the striker, he can also operate on either flank.
At 22, he qualifies for the TFF under 23 foreign player quota, simplifying registration. That would allow Galatasaray to include him in matchday squads without disrupting current limits.
