The 2026 FIFA World Cup is over, but it’s been another where Manchester City players were once again front and centre.

Rodri: I’m lost for words!

None more so than our brilliant midfielder Rodri who led Spain to the trophy following their 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final in New Jersey.

The Spaniard won the Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament as he became just the 11th player in history to win the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League and Ballon d’Or.

England had their best World Cup in 60 years with Nico O’Reilly, Marc Guéhi, Elliot Anderson and James Trafford all part of the Three Lions squad.

Striker Erling Haaland also had a memorable tournament for Norway, scoring seven goals as they reached the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.

In total, 18 City players featured at the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
