Welcoming back the WSL champions ahead of the 2026/27 campaign...

The Blues returned to the City Football Academy this morning to begin preparations for the new season.

We go into 2026/27 as reigning WSL champions and FA Cup holders, having enjoyed the most successful season in our professional history last time out.

Andrée Jeglertz’s side ended a ten-year wait for the league title with a game to spare, equalling our best-ever WSL points haul in the process.

And just three weeks later we completed the Double, beating Brighton in the FA Cup final to cap off a memorable season in the best possible fashion.

With two titles to defend and a return to Europe also on the cards, 2026/27 is sure to be a memorable campaign for City.

New signings Beth Mead and Niamh Charles were also reporting for duty, with the players in high spirits ahead of pre-season getting under way.

And after some quick hugs and catch-ups, it was straight back to work for the squad with Jeglertz addressing players and staff ahead of our first training session.
