Chalobah has made 44 appearances for the Blues in all competitions this season, and now he’s back fit again he’s got five games to force his way into Tuchel’s World Cup squad.
England have a number of options at centre back, but Tuchel knows Chalobah well having worked with him during his spell at Chelsea.

“When you look at the fringes, the will-they-won’t-theys, that’s where Trevoh is,” he told The Standard.
“Having seen Chelsea a lot of times this season and the number of changes and injuries they’ve had at the back, he’s been the constant, the more consistent defender for Chelsea.
“His attitude since he came back from Crystal Palace has been tremendous, the way he’s produced the performances he has for Chelsea.
“He (Tuchel) knows Trevoh well, knows his personality, knows he can rely on Trevoh in certain aspects.
“He’s in with a shout. He’s performed very well this year.”
