Gasperini wants Matt O’Riley since Atalanta days | OneFootball

Gian Piero Gasperini has asked Roma to try and pursue Brighton midfielder Matt O’Riley.

The Dane is one of Gasperini’s favorite players since his days at Celtic.

In fact, the Roma manager was very close to recruiting him to Atalanta last year but ultimately Brighton overtook la Dea in the race for O’Riley.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have shown interest in the Danish talent in recent weeks, though there is a lot of competition involved.

O’Riley could be the ideal reinforcement for the midfield, capable of giving balance and quality to the Giallorossi.

His current pricetag is of around 20 million euros.
