Sunday’s reports indicate that Gennaro Gattuso is set to stick with an almost unchanged team for Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Israel, but there could be one or two alterations following Friday’s 5-0 victory over Estonia.
Gattuso led the Azzurri to a 5-0 win over Estonia in World Cup qualifying in his first match since being appointed CT. Moise Kean, Mateo Retegui, Giacomo Raspadori and Alessandro Bastoni were all on the scoresheet in Bergamo.
Gattuso had Italy lining up in a 4-2-3-1, albeit with two centre-forwards on the pitch in Kean and Retegui.

According to Sunday’s reports, Gattuso is not expected to make too many alterations to his line-up, but may have one enforced change to make as Mattia Zaccagni, who started on the left wing against Estonia, trained separately on Sunday and is the only fitness doubt ahead of the Israel test.

According to updates from Calciomercato.com, there could potentially be an opportunity for Manuel Locatelli to come back into the starting line-up if Zaccagni drops out. That would bring a midfield three of Locatelli, Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Barella, but would require one of the centre-forwards to move out onto the left flank.
Sunday’s reports claim that there could be a potential change at full-back as well, as Andrea Cambiaso is competing for a starting spot with Inter’s Federico Dimarco.
