Gaviões da Fiel have condemned the court-ordered suspension of Corinthians' 20 June General Assembly on statute reforms, calling it a blow to members' democratic will.
According to Meu Timao, the vote was halted by a Tuesday injunction from appellate judge Mauricio Campos da Silva Velho at the São Paulo Court of Justice. The filing came from lifetime councillors Ademir de Carvalho Benedito, Alexandre Husni and Guilherme Gonçalves Strenger.
The supporters' group accused the trio of using legal manoeuvres to shield privileges and resist change, and said most lifetime councillors missed 11 public hearings. It highlighted plans to give Fiel Torcedor members a vote from 2026 and to create the Associado de Futebol category. The group warned the freeze could bar FT votes in 2026 and hit finances.
In his order, the judge cited signs of procedural breaches in the club's statute, focusing on article 97, item M, which assigns the Conselho de Orientação, Cori, the task of proposing statute changes to the Deliberative Council. He ordered immediate notice to the lower court and the case remains active.
The row dates to early in the year. An April injunction by councillor Felipe Ezabella stopped the first assembly, before the project returned to internal bodies and a new vote was called. Ezabella later failed to narrow the agenda, another ruling extended votes to members registered by eight May, and a bid by the trio was first denied before the latest suspension.
