Gaviões da Fiel meet Corinthians board over South Stand changes

At the invitation of the Corinthians board, on the afternoon of this Thursday (26th), the Gaviões da Fiel, the main organized supporters group of the club, were at the Neo Química Arena to oversee the inspection for the removal of seats in the South Sector and possible interventions regarding a potential increase in the capacity of the East Sector.

According to a statement released by the supporters group, President Osmar Stabile was also present and participated in the visit. Additionally, the Gaviões da Fiel detailed in a note that Corinthians informed that the removal of the seats in the South Sector will allow the area to increase its capacity from 7,406 to 9,083 seats.

Furthermore, according to the text, there is a plan to construct a space for lateral seats in the Upper East Sector, inspired by the stands used in the NFL openings in 2024 and 2025, in Itaquera, which should increase the sector's capacity by approximately 2,000 new seats. With these changes, the Neo Química Arena is expected to exceed a capacity of 50,000 seats.

Finally, the statement concludes by affirming that Corinthians informed the Gaviões da Fiel that the possible changes mentioned depend on approval from public authorities. During the meeting, the organized supporters group requested the construction of a new entrance in the North Sector, near the court already existing in the Arena.

GAVIÕES AND CORINTHIANS BOARD EVALUATE STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN THE SOUTH SECTOR OF THE ARENA

The Gaviões da Fiel Torcida were present on the afternoon of this Thursday (26th), at the Neo Química Arena, after an invitation from the Corinthians board, to closely follow the inspection of the works for the removal of seats in the South Sector and the interventions aimed at increasing capacity in the East Sector. The president of Corinthians, Osmar Stabile, also participated in the visit.

According to the club, the removal of the seats in the South Sector will allow the capacity of the location to increase from 7,406 to 9,083 seats.

Additionally, the construction of the sides of the Upper East Sector is planned, inspired by the stands used in the NFL, which should add approximately 2,000 new seats.

With all the interventions completed, the Neo Química Arena is expected to exceed a total capacity of 50,000 seats.

Corinthians also informed the representatives of the Gaviões da Fiel that all changes depend on approval from public authorities.

During the visit, the Gaviões also requested the creation of a new entrance in the North Sector, near the court already existing in the Arena.
