Sunday’s reports claim that Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has reiterated his preference for the club to sign Dusan Vlahovic before the end of the summer transfer window during a meeting with sporting director Igli Tare earlier in the day.
Milan’s hunt for a new centre-forward continues after the decision was taken to not sign Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen after his medical in Italy over the weekend.
The Nigeria international is expected to return to Germany, at which point the deal will be considered definitively off, according to Leverkusen chief Simon Rolfes.

The situation leaves Santiago Gimenez as the only natural, senior centre-forward available to Allegri with a week of the summer transfer window left to go.
Football Italia understands that Milan have the priority in the race to sign 20-year-old Conrad Harder from Sporting CP before the end of the window, and that the Rossoneri are still hoping to provide Allegri with two new centre-forwards before the window slams shut.
According to updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Allegri’s preference remains Vlahovic from Juventus.

The Rossoneri have been linked with a move for the unwanted Bianconeri striker for much of the summer transfer window, but have not been able to strike a deal amidst concerns over the player’s salary.
Vlahovic is due to be paid €12m on the final year of his Juventus contract this season, and reports suggest that he is unwilling to give up on the salary that he is contractually entitled to this campaign.
Milan, however, have not been willing to offer Vlahovic a salary of €12m per season, which makes him the highest-paid player in the division.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Allegri and sporting director Igli Tare were both in attendance for a transfer meeting on Sunday, and that the head coach has reiterated his preference for the club to sign Vlahovic this summer.
The Pink Paper adds that if Allegri gets on the phone with an appropriate offer, it will be difficult for Vlahovic to say no.
