Genk will need to pay around €10m to sign Nigerian striker from Pisa | OneFootball

Genk are in the market for a new striker. They appear, according to HNB, to be keen on Pisa’s Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi . However, the 23-year-old Nigerian striker will not come cheap. Pisa are looking for around €10m to allow the forward to leave. However, Genk may well be able to afford that soon. The side are currently negotiating with Borussia Dortmund for the sale of Kos Karetsas, with the Belgian club hoping to get €35m for the talented Greek teenager. This would certainly free up the cash to sign Durosinmi.

Durosinmi only joined Pisa in January 2026 from Viktoria Plzen, where he had scored 31 goals in 71 games. Since joining Pisa, the 23-year-old has only scored one goal in 12 games. But Genk have always had success with strikers from Nigeria. Tolu Arokodare and Paul Onuachu both scored a lot of goals for Genk during their time in Belgium. However, €10m is a lot of money for a Belgian club to spend, and if it doesn’t work out, it will be hard for Genk to get anything near that back for the forward. This would also be a record fee for Genk, surpassing what they spent on Theo Bongonda a few seasons ago.

Durosinmi himself is said to be interested in the move after Pisa were relegated to Serie B last season.
