Gennaro Gattuso takes charge at Lazio | OneFootball

Gennaro Gattuso has taken charge at Lazio. The club announced on Tuesday that the former Italy coach is the new head coach.

He returns to Serie A a few months after leaving the national job following Italy’s play-off defeat to Bosnia in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Gattuso succeeds Maurizio Sarri, who left after a disappointing season that ended ninth in Serie A.

He previously had a mixed spell at Olympique de Marseille from September 2023 to February 2024, having replaced Marcelino.

In Italy he has managed Pisa SC from 2015 to 2017, AC Milan from 2017 to 2019 and Napoli from 2019 to 2021.
