Gennaro Gattuso ‘to target’ Sevilla duo Kike Salas and Andrés Castrín | OneFootball

Sevilla’s hierarchy are prioritising sales this summer, with SS Lazio circling academy centre-backs Kike Salas and Andrés Castrín.

According to LaLazioSiamoNoi, the pair have been offered to the Rome club via intermediaries, and Gennaro Gattuso wants reinforcements amid the imminent exit of Mario Gila and Alessio Romagnoli’s wish to leave.

Inside Nervión, most of the squad is on the market, while only Juan Iglesias, Jon Guridi and Arouna Sanganté have guaranteed continuity.

Lazio submitted a formal January bid to loan Salas with an option to buy. Sevilla rejected it, insisting on a permanent sale to inject immediate liquidity.

Castrín arrived in summer 2024 to bolster the reserves and is contracted until June 2027.

ABC de Sevilla reports that the club and the player’s representatives have been discussing a new deal for weeks. A key meeting is planned in the coming days to unlock a renewal or consider a joint sale with Salas to Serie A.
