Spanish 2nd tier outfit FC Andorra have set their sights on the signature of a member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Jijantes, who point towards Áron Yaakobishvili as the player in question.
Youngster Yaakobishvili, for his part, is fresh off a starring campaign in Catalunya’s capital, which saw the Hungarian repeatedly turn heads with his performances at U19 level.
With as much in mind, it was earlier this week reported that Barcelona are eager to farm Yaakobishvili out on loan for next season, with a view to the youngster securing regular first-team football.
And as alluded to above, ready to afford a helping hand to the Blaugrana in their search for as much is a club legend at the Camp Nou.
As per a report from MD:
‘According to Jijantes, Andorra, recently promoted to the Second Division, are very interested in securing Yaakobishvili’s services. The closeness of Gerard Piqué, the club’s owner, to FC Barcelona makes a deal viable, one that Ibai Gómez, the new manager, would welcome.’
